Our client North of Boston has an immediate Direct Hire opening for an HR professional to lead the organizations Human Resources function. This Human Resources position will oversee the Human Resource function for this small, fast paced, mission driven organization. Overseeing a small staff, this HR leader will oversee payroll as well as employee relations, process improvement, updating policies/procedures, orientations, organizational training and staff management.

responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for all duties related to HR including:

  • Oversee employee information and ensure accuracy
  • Update new hire and terminated employee files and maintains them according to filing requirements
  • Manage/administer payroll
  • Benefits administration
  • Reconcile OT reports and headcount for accounting dept
  • Manage unemployment claims
  • Review and maintain policies and procedures; recommend any areas for improvement
  • FMLA
  • Update/maintain company policies, as well as handbook
 
qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 4+ years of relevant HR experience
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Prior payroll experience preferred
  • Creative thinker who enjoys working in smaller company (under 300 ee) where can touch and impact all areas of the organization
  • Knowledgeable with systems as well as MS Office products
  • Self-motivated
