job summary:

Tatum's client, a $125M PE backed food manufacturer in Modesto CA is looking for an interim CFO/Sr. Controller to join their team immediately The client has multiple ongoing projects to improve their financial infrastructure and operations, so they need someone with experience to keep things moving forward and correct problems as they go.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Work hands on with the existing database to drive accounting, reporting, and budgeting activities,
  • Improve policies, processes and controls documentations within the finance and accounting department.
  • Rework GL structure to provide proper reporting and data.
  • Upgrade current costing model. Costing model is limited and not providing accurate data, using multiple systems to pull together data instead of leveraging the existing ERP system to transact correctly.
 
qualifications:

Qualifications include:

  • Previous food/agriculture experience
  • Previous food manufacturing accounting experience
  • High level of proficiency with Excel and Access, very good at manipulating raw data from ERP system to create useful information/analysis to make business decisions - this will be a very hands on role
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge required
  • Private Equity experience
  • Familiarity with Process Pro is a plus
  • FP&A experience would be a plus, as this role will be responsible for certain FP&A responsibilities
