responsibilities:
.This is a highly visible role working closely with senior management providing valuable insights influencing and supporting decision-makers. Your expertise in cost accounting and manufacturing operations will be instrumental in optimizing the companies cost efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain standard costs
- Work cross functionally to ensure accurate and up-to-date BoM's
- Prepare month-end reports, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Research and analyze manufacturing costs and variances
- Improve processes to maximize efficiencies
- Develop variance reports; research and explain differences in production costs
- Responsible for cost and margin analysis as well as product line reporting and analysis.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels
- Manage cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory balances.
- Assist auditors as needed
qualifications:
Ideal candidate profile:
- BS in Accounting
- 5+ years of relevant cost accounting experience
- Experience in publicly traded company is desired
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical mindset
