job summary:

Large, Multi- faceted Non-Profit Organization headquartered seeks a hands on Manager Financial Analysis. This newly created, stand-alone role will support the CFO in providing fiscal analyses, budgets, forecasts, variance reports and presentation materials for the Organization. Monitoring and reporting on investments, liquidity, and treasury management. The Manager of Financial Analysis works closely with the director of fiscal operations, senior administration, finance team and division managers.

  • Ongoing dialogue with senior management in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of program data. Prepare forecasts to assist in meaningful performance expectations.
  • Prepare monthly fiscal reports and review with Division Directors and Executive Management
  • Preparation and presentations of budgets, forecasts and variance reports
  • Maintaining and monitoring systems and analyses supporting operating, non-operating, capital, and cash flow reports
  • Obtain a comprehensive understanding of underlying financial systems, models, and analyses to streamline the planning and reporting processes
  • Maintain supporting documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of fiscal presentations including governance reports
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 4+ years of relevant experience or
  • Strong analytical and accounting (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and good Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) skills
  • Professional abilities to pay attention to detail, analyze financial data, solve financial problems, develop, and implement solutions and write procedures. Ability to build consensus, initiate, prioritize, and complete tasks timely with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to senior management and motivate staff to produce quality materials within tight timeframes. Manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • MBA and / or CPA or CMA a plus

Please note, this role requires individuals work on site 2-3 days per week in NYC
