Manager of Lease Administration

Currently working with a larger private equity real estate investment company that is looking to add a Manager of Lease Administration to their team. This individual will be looked at to lead the Lease Administration function for all their commercial properties around the country and manage a team of 3 Lease Administrators. Position will report through finance and be involved in all aspects of lease administration. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of lease administration experience with at least 2+ years of leadership/management experience. Manager, Lease Administration

Summary Under the supervision of the Controller, the Manager of Lease Administration will perform various duties to support the Accounting, Property Management and Asset Management teams. In order to be successful in this role, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate embraces responsibility and self motivation.

Responsibilities

Daily/Weekly

- Actively manage and provide support to the team of lease administrators and accounts receivable associates.

- Oversee quality control and review all lease input into Database including but not limited to tenant information, lease dates, lease term or renewal term, area leased, option information, rent charges, recoveries charges, and recoveries calculations.

- Be available to respond to internal and external inquiries.

- Resolve any escalated requests made by the Asset Management, Property Management or Lease Administration teams.

- Oversee proper processing timeliness and application of tenants Accounts Receivables. Monthly

- Provide Lease Count reporting to Controller.

- Review Monthly Update - Lease Data Exceptions report. Annually/Ad hoc

- In partnership with Lease Administrator, prepare annual Operating Estimates.

- In partnership with Lease Administrator, prepare quarterly, semi-annual and annual Operating Expense (CAM) Reconciliations.

- Prepare of annual year-end Operating Expense (CAM) Reconciliation accruals for Accounting.

- Oversee proper processing and treatment of Letters of Credit.

- Managing the onboarding and disposition of assets. - Respond to audit inquiries.

- Work with internal teams for improved project efficiencies, customizations, streamlined processes and procedures.

- Assist with documenting and updating departmental procedures and policies.

- Have a general understanding of the impact of Lease Administration on financial statements.

- Detail-oriented, a quick learner and problem-solver with an active and curious intellect.

- Results-oriented with a desire to learn and support new technologies and processes.

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to create a positive work environment, motivate and inspire the team.

- Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, exceedingly well organized, very flexible, and strong follow through.

- Must be a self-starter that is highly motivated, understands deadlines and has a sense of urgency.

- Proactive, resourceful, efficient with strong decision-making skills; works independently exercise good judgement.

- Expert level written and verbal communication skills; must possess high-level of professionalism, customer service and strong communication skills.
