job summary:

Our client in Central Massachusetts is expanding their HR group and has a great opportunity to join their team. This individual's primary responsibility will be to accurately manage and process payroll. In addition, this role leads HR benefits administration with responsibility for compliance related reporting, audits, and employee events.

responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all payroll and Time & Attendance systems and processes both internal and external, providing excellent customer service
  • Manage employee payroll documentation and data, inputting and auditing all changes and configures all payroll fields
  • Review and ensure accuracy of time cards, time records and PTO accruals
  • Prepare payroll files for submission, ensuring timely and accurate payrolls without exception
  • Fund and reconcile employee retirement plan and health care spending contributions
  • Maintain employee electronic document system and paper HR files
  • Ensure accurate completion of new hire, termination and change of status actions in ADP and benefit systems
  • Assist with the timely resolution of inquiries involving policies, procedures, benefits, payroll
  • Assist department with tracking the administration of various leave programs (e.g., FMLA, MA Paid Leave, disability leave)
  • Assist with the recruiting process including maintaining job postings, scheduling interviews and candidate follow-up
  • Assist with updating HR policies, procedures and handbooks
  • Manage audits such as annual 401k audit and testing, Workers Comp ensuring all data is accurate and audits are seamless and clean
 
qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in payroll administration with solid reporting experience and skills
  • Working knowledge of current federal, state and wage & hour and tax laws
  • Focused on attention to detail, company policies, providing outstanding customer service
  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
