job summary:

Tatum is currently assisting an international manufacturing company with a Payroll Manager search. The Payroll Manager is responsible for leading a team and managing the weekly payroll processing for over 4,000 employees world-wide. The Payroll Manager must work and communicate effectively with all levels of employees within the company as well as various vendors. The Payroll Manager will report to a Payroll Director.

responsibilities:
  • Manage Payroll Specialists and train new payroll specialists
  • Process ADP payroll for assigned locations according to guidelines stipulated
  • Manage the ADP processing of all payroll transactions including coordination of the daily payroll operation Ensure accurate payments but validating data before transmission
  • Serve as a liaison to ADP.
  • Generate the payroll tax file and verify mandated returns and remittances for all employees and the employer payroll taxes
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate reporting of tax files
  • Responsible for reporting accurate processing of federal and state wage attachments, garnishments, and child support orders as required
  • Reconcile and generate the GL accounting entries to accurately record the results of the payroll process with the Accounting Manager
  • Ensure the timely and accurate submission of the following: payroll reports, tax reports, labor reports, garnishment knowledge, 401K report
  • Troubleshoot and analyze payroll system functions to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Calculate workers comp bill for risk management
  • Administer the reporting and payment processes required to reimburse or set up the receivables from the employee
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree is preferred
  • 2+ years of Supervising, Managing or Leading a payroll department
  • Expertise with ADP is a plus
  • Knowledge of ADP Reporting is a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
