A growing FinTech company is the Westchester County area is looking to hire a Payroll Manager. This will be a very hands on, boots to the ground role where you will process the day-to-day payroll operations and maintain payroll information . A successful candidate will strive to gain a thorough understanding of the company, provide detailed analysis as requested and become the go to expert for all things compensation.     • Coordinate and process multi state weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll for multiple entities
    • Ensure payroll data input is accurate, complete, and entered on-time
    • Create off cycle payroll and manual checks as needed
    • Monitor ADP's preparation of payroll tax filings and investigate any discrepancies.
    • Preparation of all payroll journal entries for entry into general ledger
    • Assist with accrual calculations
    • Reconcile 941's to the general ledger
    • Provide month over month variance analysis
    • Research and resolve payroll issues and respond promptly to all payroll related questions from employees
    • Collaborate with ADP to automate payroll functions and improve overall efficiencies
    • Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting and taxes
    • Assist in providing documentation needed for annual audits
    • Assist in providing schedules, reporting, and commentary when needed

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of hands-on multi-state payroll experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail
    • Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-tasking environment
    • Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment
    • Demonstrated knowledge ADP
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred
    • Experience in commission-based environment preferred
    • Desire to consistently exceed expectations and take on more responsibility
    • Experience with month end close
