Our client in the Washington, DC area is looking for a temp to Hire Payroll Manager Accountant for a six to twelve month assignment this individual will be responsible for analyzing a and processing multi-state and global payroll .This Position requires adherence to all federal, state and local regulations pertaining to payroll processing, and exercises strict adherence to proper handling of confidential information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist Payroll department with processing and analyzing multi-state as well as global payroll.
- Responsible for ensuring timekeeping is submitted and approved as well as processing
timesheet corrections.
- Responsible for biweekly (including off-cycle) printing and distribution of payroll checks
and year end forms (W-2) originals or reprints. Support quarterly and year end activities
such as tax filings, reconciliations and W2 generation.
- Monitor and respond timely, confidentially, and professionally to general payroll related
inquiries in the payroll email inbox.
- Responsible for reviewing and updating payroll processes and procedures ensuring they
are accurate and up to date.
Key Qualifications:
- 5-9 years of payroll experience
- Experience with the UGK ( formerly Ultipro) Payroll processing system
- Certified Payroll Professional Preferred
- Limited hybrid work environment flexibility
- A background check is required
