Regional Accounting Manager

A leading manufacturer and marketer of industrial equipment and parts is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage the Accounting and Finance function for the U.S. This is a critical new role that will enhance the accounting discipline due to the company's rapid global growth and expansion. This role will collaborate with leadership in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to ensure strong controls and accurate reporting. The Accounting Manager will establish and maintain proper accounting policies, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and coordinate internal and external audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all activities of the accounting department including month-end financial close activities, preparation and posting of journal entries, and analytical review of account activity
  • Ensure accounting processes and activities align with internal policies and technical accounting requirements
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Analyze data to support account reconciliations and related accounting activities.
  • Prepare all financial reports in compliance with GAAP
  • Reconcile the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  • Manage and oversee credit and collection
  • Responsible for the financial reporting and controls
  • Work with external auditors on interim and year-end audit activities
  • File and remit taxes and other financial obligations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred (active or inactive)
  • Expert level of proficiency with all Microsoft Applications with an emphasis on Excel
  • Proficient with financial reporting tools
  • Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate extensive data
  • Experience working in the manufacturing and warehousing sector
