REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

*** REMOTE POSITION - LOCATION: South Central U.S. ***

A leading distributor of industrial capital equipment, has a key opportunity in the South Central States for a Regional Sales Manager to increase sales with existing accounts, and grow revenue with new clients throughout the region. This organization identifies premium manufacturers throughout the globe that provide the highest quality products available for metalworking design and fabrication. The Regional Sales Manager will have strong relationships with distributes as well as end-users throughout the six state region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing distributor network and put metrics in place to measure performance.
  • Identify new distributors and manage the sales pipeline in multiple geographies
  • Develop new markets as well as non-traditional channels of distribution
  • Provide tools and technical training to distributor network and end-users
  • Assist existing and potential clients with new product solutions to ensure continuous business partnerships
  • Manage the RFP process based on client product and pricing requirements.
  • Prepare dimensional specifications and scope of project for internal team to ensure accuracy in delivery
  • Collaborate with Marketing Department to prepare competitive analysis regarding products, pricing fluctuations, and product enhancements
  • Oversee sales budget and expenses for the region

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and / or relevant industry experience
  • At least five years of experience selling capital equipment in the machinery sector by partnering with engineering and distributor channels in the region
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong relationship builder and the ability to grow long-term relationships
  • Proven top performer, with a record of success in expanding sales revenue
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an effective communicator
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel throughout the South Central region
