responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly accounting journal entries related to cash, prepaids, fixed assets and various accrued expenses.
- Prepare supporting documentation for all monthly journal entries.
- Assist in reconciling, researching, and resolving inquiries concerning Accounts Payable.
- Regularly prepare and maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Maintain the Fixed Assets sub-ledger and ensure that all asset additions are properly capitalized and depreciated according to company policies.
- Assist with recording payroll entries in the general ledger and payroll related entries such as month-end accruals.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice entry and coding.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flows).
- Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as needed.
qualifications:
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance, CPA +
- SEC Reporting Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
