job summary:

A leading ocean focused global logistics and supply chain provider is looking for an experienced Sales Director. This is a coveted role that has high visibility and is tasked with the developing the sales organization in the West and Global Key Account management.

The base salary could be 150-200k or more (d.o.e.), plus bonus and highly competitive benefits.

This person will coach/manage/develop SM's/AE's/CSR team and set the budget and strategy for their territories and key accounts. We are looking for a "modern manager" not a micro-manager. Someone that is a driver of a culture of excellence and customer-centric management.

responsibilities:
  • Manage a sales force that is hunting for new business opportunities and working with existing customers
  • Develop and support sales team through various forms of coaching
  • Ensures sales plan are developed and budgets are met
  • Work with leadership to develop the area budget and sales strategies
  • Provide the proper tools and training for the sales team to be successful

  • Bachelors degree is highly preferred
  • 8-25+ years experience leading sales organizations in logistics/supply chain services
  • Experience managing sales managers
  • Experience in ocean freight services
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategy

  • Ability to travel 25% when permissible
