Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant of Corporate Accounting for our Las Vegas client.

 
location: Las Vegas, Nevada

responsibilities:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with the month end and year closing process
  • Provide accurate, timely and usable reports to department heads and management team
  • Process journal entries, 10K and financial audits
  • Assist with global and domestic finance/accounting related projects
  • Perform technical accounting research and drafts memos to support accounting positions
  • Assist with all functions of LVSC's external financial reporting process when needed (SEC filings, Audit Committee materials, etc.)
  • Coordinate and contributes to the review of complex contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Ensure proper preparation and review of all responses to information document requests from external auditors
  • Advise management of problem areas and requests assistance as necessary
  • Identify potential problems, recommend sound solutions and support implementation.
  • Support departmental and company decisions, even if unpopular.
  • Provide input into and executes strategic plan for Corporate Accounting consistent with the strategic vision of LVSC
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
 
qualifications:
  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred but not required
  • 4-8 years finance/accounting experience; with minimum of 2-4 years' experience in large public accounting firm
  • Experience with Workday, Infinium or Cloudsuite

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
