Tatum Professional Search has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Senior Accountant with expertise in Netsuite available with a family owned and operated international wholesale food company based in North Atlanta, GA. They have been in business for 31 years. They are a niche re-distributor and an importer and supply food products to food service distributors and grocery store chains.

- Key contributor to the month-end/year-end accounting close activities

- Enter monthly journal entries, adjusting entries as necessary

- Experience reconciling Balance Sheet accounts such as Cash, Prepaid and Accrued Expenses

- Generate and oversee others to insure accurate customer invoices are generated on a timely basis, - Review AR aging, perform and oversee collections, follow ups as needed

- Access financial information and conduct independent research to answer questions, disseminate or explain information to customers, vendors, or employees

- Process and oversee others who deposit customer checks to insure accuracy and apply payments

- Primary point of contact for A/P, including processing vendor bill payments

- Performs Month-End closing procedures including reconciliations of major balance sheet accounts, accrued expenses and making journal entries

- Prepare Sales Reports and Financial Statements

- Maintain and reconcile inventory records

-Assist in the costing of inventory and verify inventory

- Prepare sales reports and financial statements.

- Analyze actual results against forecast, prior quarters and prior years and provide variance analysis to support monthly financial review

- Recommend and implement improvements within accounting

- Annual budget creation

- Work with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures


- Experience and proficiency with NetSuite is required.

- Proficiency in Excel, ability to efficiently work with large data and perform analysis (V-lookups, Pivot Tables)

- Understanding of GAAP and ability to apply basic accounting concepts

- 3-5+ years of corporate accounting experience; manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience a big "plus."

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields preferred

- Must be a problem solving, self-starter who possesses effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to be persistent, yet supportive to perform the above responsibilities.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Can demonstrate attention to details and good-record-keeping.

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured environment

- Acts with integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders
