Tatum Professional Search has an amazing opportunity for a dedicated and talented Senior Accountant available with an Office Products Distribution company, headquartered near Truist (Braves) Stadium in Smyrna, GA.

  • Compiles and analyzes financial data to prepare financial statements and other financial documents.
  • Coordinate monthly and year end close process with accounting manager.
  • Review Profit/Loss trend analysis and define variances.
  • Perform GL account reconciliation and analysis.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Perform general project auditing.
  • Prepares schedules for annual audit.
  • Assist with Inventory reconciliations.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned including budgeting.

Accounting degree (B.B.A.) and at least 3 to 5+ years related experience. Public accounting experience is a plus. CPA is a plus.

Computer Skills:

Advanced Excel, Spreadsheets, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Accounting Software (PeopleSoft a plus); Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Department budget a plus.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parent company or members of the S. P. Richards business community. Ability to effectively present information to middle and top management and auditors.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply mathematical operations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret data.
