job summary:

Our Client in Dallas, TX is looking for Interim Senior Accountant to provide timely and accurate accounting support to the organization, through performing, assigning, and reviewing the full cycle of accounting functions, focusing on A/P, A/R, and daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financials. Position is onsite due to being hands on and working with the staff.

Work hours 7am-4pm.

  • Produce accounting documentation through application of GAAP
  • Participate and support in the monthly financial statement close process, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely as well as analyzing and reviewing financial statements and variances.
  • Perform month-end general ledger close activities including accruing expenses, preparing, reviewing and recording journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and other analysis.
  • Prepare, review and analyze balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
  • Oversee full cycle of A/P and A/R as well as other financials, by effectively managing two direct reports.
  • Compile financials, manage fixed assets, and reconcile bank transactions
  • Review and recommend new processes to strengthen the accounting function to help facilitate company growth.
  • Varied duties as required to support the business, particularly the accounting functions.
  • Supervise the full accounting cycle, assisted by staff members.
  • Bachelor's in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience
  • Intermediate level Excel and other Windows software programs as well as some familiarity with accounting software.
  • Sage/Peachtree system experience preferred, but not required
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work with a team to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, while maintaining a positive work environment.
