job summary:

We are seeking a well-established senior accountant to join an experienced team in Ft. Lauderdale. This department is growing rapidly to keep up with the overall expansion of the company.

The Senior Accountant will report directly into the Corporate Controller that is a motivating leader and team oriented accounting department.

  • Ensures financial statements are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Assists departments and subsidiaries with account analysis and research
  • Analyzes basic financial reports and key performance indicators and makes recommendations relative to balance sheet and P&L statements implications
  • Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances
  • Generates daily and monthly reports to assist in above duties and prepare other management and statutory reports, as required
  • Makes recommendations to resolve issues and makes corrections, as necessary
  • Performs other accounting research as needed
  • Interface with external/internal auditors in managing requests concerning processes and deliverables
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance combined with 3 - 5 years accounting/finance experience
  • CPA or pursuing certification is a plus
  • Heavily skilled in general ledger reconciliations
  • Extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures as relates to general ledger accounting
  • MS Dynamics experience a plus
