job summary:

Our client is currently looking for new Senior Accountant. This position reports directly to the Controller and is a great opportunity to make an impact. The Accounting and Finance department is expanding and we are looking for motivated professionals who can bring new ideas to the table and improve overall efficiencies.

*This role has a hybrid schedule*

 
location: Medford, Massachusetts

responsibilities:
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
    • Support the month-end by preparing and/or reviewing account balances
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Assist with audit by coordinating with external auditors
  • Oversee monthly consolidation schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Assist with annual budget planning
  • Lead ad-hoc projects focused on improving reporting quality
  • Other duties as needed
 
qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
    • mix of public and private accounting experience required
  • BA in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems a plus
