job summary:

Leading multifamily investment firm and pension fund manager is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Reports to the Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing accounting reports, support month end close and prepare monthly and quarterly reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve monthly financial statements prepared by third party property management companies. Reconciling errors, proposing journal entries, and reviewing and researching variance analyses
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual property budgets for the assigned portfolio of properties
  • Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly/annual financial and compliance reports to lenders and partners, including preparation of loan draw requests and equity contribution and distribution calculations
  • Calculate monthly equity contributions
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to other internal departments and under specific deadlines
  • Provide revenue and expense reporting trends and metrics

Requirements:

BS degree

3+ years of related experience

Public accounting, real estate or fund/investment industry experience a plus
