Senior Accountant

Currently working with a Ultra High-Net Worth Family Office that is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for their accounting department. This position would work with the Head of Accounting and Accounting Manager to help oversee the general ledger and month-end close, payments and AP transactions, financial audits, tax support, and any specific regulatory filings. responsibilities:

Position: Senior Accountant

Main responsibilities:

  • Processes accounts payable transactions of multiple business entities; interacts closely with vendors and other team members of the organization.
  • Responsible for vendor profile maintenance and W9 collections
  • Keeps track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments
  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations, maintains full e-record of transaction history, in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Prepares month end close schedules, including but not limited to the maintenance of petty cash accounts and fixed assets
  • Reviews work provided by other senior accountants when needed, including but not limited to credit card transactions, accounting entries and ad hoc reporting; supports other senior accountants responsibilities as backup
  • Assists with annual financial audit and tax filings
  • Files quarterly Form 592s, annual Form 1099s and other regulatory forms timely
  • Assists in other ad hoc projects/reports and takes the initiative to address questions
 
qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance desired
  • 3+ years of GL/Senior Accountant experience; prior Accounts Payable experience a plus
  • Detail and deadline oriented; strong documentation skills
  • Responsive and reliable with strong work ethics
  • Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP software preferred
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player; able to think critically and apply concepts learned to new tasks or projects; able to produce work accurately and timely
  • Strong time management skills and comfortable managing multiple deliverables
  • Proactive in taking on new tasks and problem solving on the go
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization and with external contacts
  • Works well in a dynamic office environment; positive attitude and orientation of client service at all times
  • Must possess high degree of integrity, respect for others and trust to handle complex and sensitive financial and personal information
  • Prior Family Office experience preferred
