job summary:

Tatum is seeking qualified Senior Accountant for a growing client in Raleigh, NC in the healthcare and private equity sector.

responsibilities:
  • Analyze, review, and perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain fixed assets, prepaid, accrued expenses, goodwill/intangibles and other schedules at corporate level on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes.
  • Monitor and forecast compliance with debt covenants and the handling of bank reporting and accounting for debt.
  • Oversee tax reporting requirements
  • Facilitate disbursement of tax distributions
  • Prepare and distribute flash reports and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Participate in the analysis of budget to actual performance.
  • Document key accounting processes.
  • Oversee the administration of the corporate travel system, and the management of corporate purchasing programs, such as credit cards, programs, etc.
  • Forecast daily corporate cash needs across the organization and manage intercompany balances to meet cash needs.
  • Investigate accounting discrepancies and irregularities as needed and as assigned.
  • Consistently observe all Company policies and standards, presenting a polished and respectful representation of the Corporate Accounting office, and treating all stakeholders with best-in-class customer service.
  • Observes flexible scheduling when needed and when assigned to ensure Company deadlines are achieved.
 
qualifications:
  • Impressive financial and accounting acumen.
  • Understands effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit and explain financial concepts in simple clear language appropriate to the audience; and receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication.
  • Professional work ethic which is independent, and action driven, employing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to understand and focus on prospect and customer.
  • Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects; working well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to respond and adapt to changing circumstances and to manage, solve problems, and provide solutions in a climate of ambiguity
  • Proficient ability to work independently while being accountable to a team.
  • Highly effective and active communicator with all cross functional designs
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Desired 3 to 5 years of experience within Accounting, with experience or exposure to healthcare and/or transportation beneficial.
  • Previous experience operating within a supervisory role within small teams, or equivalent.
