job summary:

Global technology company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role would report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and manage 1 junior staff. They will be responsible for the managing the general ledger, consolidations, intercompany transactions, flux analysis, internal controls, and putting together reporting packages for the North America and Western Europe entities.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years in related experience, Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, have a strong knowledge in U.S. GAAP and internal controls. Experience with Oracle R12 is required. To be considered for this role, please apply directly to posting.

responsibilities:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the monthly and yearly North America and Western Europe accounting close process.
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and supporting schedules, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intercompany transactions.
  • Manage month-end consolidation, translation and intercompany activities.
  • Preparation of account reconciliations and fluctuation analyses.
  • Assist with the preparation of reporting packages to investors and other stakeholders.
  • Accounts payable invoice validation and payments review.
  • Annual support for independent financial statement audit.
  • Perform technical research on complex accounting issues under US GAAP.
  • Draft and maintain global accounting policies and memos.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement programs to streamline, document and automate processes and enhance internal controls. Assist in documentation, monitoring and enhancing of internal controls.
  • Other Finance projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • 4+ years of accounting experience.
    • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field.
    • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
    • Experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting systems (Oracle R12 utilized).
    • CPA license a plus.
