Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with expertise in fixed assets to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, tracking, depreciation, and disposal. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

responsibilities:
- Fixed Asset Management:
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, tagging, recording, and disposal.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform regular physical verification of assets and reconcile discrepancies with financial records.
- Monitor and update depreciation schedules, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure proper capitalization and recording of fixed asset acquisitions.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements related to fixed assets, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the performance and value of fixed assets, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and collaborate with internal and external auditors during the audit process.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Identify opportunities to enhance fixed asset management processes, systems, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies related to fixed assets.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to safeguard fixed assets and mitigate risk.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in fixed asset accounting, recommending and implementing changes as necessary.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and IT, to ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members on fixed asset accounting principles, procedures, and systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert on fixed asset accounting matters, offering support and guidance to stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Accountant or similar role with a focus on fixed assets.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, FASB).
- Proficiency in using financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and fixed asset management software is an advantage.
