Our Tucson, AZ based client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.

responsibilities:

Duties:

  • Responsible for all accounts receivable/payable review, cash receipts, etc. for all divisions.
  • Responsible for the monthly close on an accrual basis, including the reconciliation of bank statements, investments, all adjusting journal entries, divisional allocations, capital /fixed assets schedules, etc.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling disbursements; reconciling accounts
  • Work with the CFO and Accounting Team to develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reporting as well as supporting schedules that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Supporting the CFO in developing and recommending changes to policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure.
  • Forecast and management of cash, including maintaining the 13-week cash flow.
  • Participate, as directed by Senior Management, in the development of the financial plan, and annual budget.
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget.
  • Support CFO in regular audits.
  • Provide accounting related input into the inventory management process, including cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Must have a minimum 5yrs experience
  • CPA strongly preferred, but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of programs such as QuickBooks, SAP & Excel.
