Tatum Professional Search is currently partnering with a well know brand in the agricultural supplies industry who is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team. The company has a long history of success in the Pacific Northwest and is led by a visionary management team that is looking to continue to grow the company and offer opportunities to its employees. The position will be full time onsite (with some flexibility), report to the Assistant Controller and be responsible for day to day accounting operations.   • Responsible for the timely completion of the monthly and annual closings of the general ledger and preparation of related financial statements and supporting and analytical schedules.
  • Prepares entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with the company's policies and established accounting principles.
  • Prepares schedules to support the company's financial reporting requirements.
  • Administers the preparation of interim, year-end, and comparative financial reports; performs and provides analysis of current results to prior periods and/or budget.
  • Prepares required schedules for periodic audit, tax and government reports as assigned and responds to inquiries as necessary.
  • Collaborates on the design and implementation of improvements to existing systems, processes and policies.
  • Maintains company's internal controls.
  • Assists with coordinating financial audits, periodic tax filings and conducts periodic internal audits.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Conducts balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Performs other accounting duties and projects, as required or directed.


The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of Senior or Sr. Staff-level accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution or related industry with inventory and cost accounting responsibilities.

  • BS in Accounting, Finance or related
  • SAP or large ERP experience
  • Advanced Excel
  • Self starter
