A growing family owned business in the White Plains area is seeking a Senior Accountant. In this role you will work closely with the leadership team as well as other departments within the organization to put into place financial controls to streamline the month-end
close process. This is onsite 5 days a week, but company offers an excellent benefit package as well as a nice company feel.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
? Daily recording of cash and other bank activity; preparation of billing, and other
ad hoc projects as directed.
? Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.
? Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to meet month-end close
deadlines.
? Investigation and correction of errors or inconsistencies in financial statements.
? Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial
position/budget variance analyses for review by management.
? Partner with finance management team and third-party consultants to resolve
any system process issues and work to improve and streamline the system.
? Experience in local, state and government license reporting and filing.
? Continual assessment of internal controls, including risk assessments and
reviews of risk areas.

Requirements:
? 5-7 years' experience with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with an
MBA or CPA, but not required.
? Solid understanding of ERP systems, including transaction research and error
resolution.
? Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivots, macros, complex formulas, v-look-up,
etc.).
? Excellent analytical capabilities and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
