job summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join an exciting team at a growing electrical utility company. This position will report directly to the CFO.

 
location: Schwenksville, Pennsylvania

responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist heavily in month end close process
  • File quarterly sales tax
  • Weekly/Monthly journal entries
  • Reconciling General Ledger accounts
  • Maintenance of Balance Sheet Liabilities and Prepaid Assets
  • Setting up new Accounts as needed
  • Assisting in audits (union, state, federal or third party)
  • Working with operations on rates and financial projections
  • Supporting and coordinating efforts with AP, Payroll, AR and HR
  • Assist AR in collections as needed
  • Ad-Hoc analysis as needed
 
qualifications:

Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Preferred CPA, CMA and/or MBA
  • Strong Accounting and Financial skills
  • Firm understanding of Construction Project Costing
  • Understanding of taxes, especially in relation to sales and payroll
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • GAAP proficient
  • Previous experience with QB Online

This position is 100% on site and will work out of Skippack, Pennsylvania.
