responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with lease accounting standards as required in ASC 842
- Provides guidance to the real estate team and other business partners on potential PP&E and lease transactions
- Supports the monitoring and identification of non-routine transactions that may require additional focused accounting treatment.
- Supports the quarterly and annual review of the impairment assessment of PP&E and leased assets
- Reviews new accounting guidance as it pertains to leases, PP&E, and real estate transactions
- Reviews and approves quarterly reconciliations for SOX compliance and ensure SOX narratives are current
- Supports the monthly close and quarterly financial reporting processes
- Supports the preparation of lease schedules and other PP&E support for the annual 10-K report and Surface Transportation Board (STB) filings
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7 plus experience in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant

- Master's Degree
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience in Accounting
