My client is hiring a Senior Manager Property Accounting (Technical). Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Master's Degree Preferred
• CPA Required
• 7 plus years of progressive experience in Accounting
• 3 plus years of leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with lease accounting standards as required in ASC 842
• Provides guidance to the real estate team and other business partners on potential PP&E and lease transactions
• Supports the monitoring and identification of non-routine transactions that may require additional focused accounting treatment.
• Supports the quarterly and annual review of the impairment assessment of PP&E and leased assets
• Reviews new accounting guidance as it pertains to leases, PP&E, and real estate transactions
• Reviews and approves quarterly reconciliations for SOX compliance and ensure SOX narratives are current
• Supports the monthly close and quarterly financial reporting processes
• Supports the preparation of lease schedules and other PP&E support for the annual 10-K report and Surface Transportation Board (STB) filings
• Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 7 plus experience in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree
• 3 or more years of supervisory experience in Accounting
