job summary:

Global leasing company seeks a Senior Manager of Accounting & Reporting to join it's team. The Senior Manager of Accounting & Reporting will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of external financial reporting and analysis requirements, as well as certain internal financial reporting requirements.

responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation and issuance of financial elements in SEC filing requirements (Form 10K, Form 10Q, Form 8K), including the periodic review of financial statement presentation, and maintain support files for external audit and SOX purposes.
  • Manage the reporting timeline and work collaboratively with various business partners to ensure reporting timelines are met.
  • Document accounting impact for new transactions or transactions that differ from standard transactions
  • Assist in developing and revising accounting policies & procedures
  • Proactively monitor, analyze and document the effects of new accounting pronouncements and/or regulations (issued by FASB / SEC)
  • Responsible for earnings per share, share-based compensation and other equity transactions (e.g. dividends and share repurchases)
  • Manage preparation of cash flow statement and ensure proper classification of transactions
  • Understand and propose changes related to consolidation and allocation issues for legal entity reporting
  • Prepare accounting analysis and memos for goodwill impairment assessment and equity related transactions
  • Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 compliance regarding internal controls over financial reporting
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Public accounting experience and CPA preferred, ideally with a combination of public and private experience
  • Minimum of seven years of work related experience, including proficiency with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience in writing technical accounting memos and accounting guidance research

This position while offering a hybrid, flexible work schedule does require all candidates to live within commuting distance of office
