job summary:

A well-known and successful law firm is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to support their finance team by carrying out pricing policies, developing fee arrangements, and assembling pricing content for external use. This role would provide technical expertise in creating cost/pricing strategies, budget models, drafting reports and summaries, and upkeep of spreadsheets and analysis.

Experience in a legal background is required; use of Aderant and/or Elite systems a plus.

A dynamic role that combines accounting, reporting and business analytics, this position has high visibility, working with all levels of personnel.

  • Develop budget models and cost/pricing strategies, narratives and justifications.
  • Supplying technical expertise in drafting reports and summaries, creating and maintaining spreadsheets and analysis, and preparing presentations.
  • Assists with proposal process including monitoring and escalation, maintenance of a negotiation audit process, cost narrative, risk assessment, and preparing presentation of management briefings.
  • Determine anticipated labor and overhead rates taking into account material and equipment requirements and costs.
  • Analysis and adjustments of estimates including win/loss data and post award statistics.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or related field
  • 4+ years of financial analysis experience
  • Experience with pricing within Legal industry
  • Experience with accounting systems a plus, such as: Aderant and/or Elite
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel skills (use of vertical and horizontal lookups, macros, pivot tables and modeling) required. Data visualization such as Power BI.
  • Proficiency with meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc..
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to learn new applications, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of firm personnel and divisions. Strong analytical and technical skills.

This would be a hybrid role, going into the office 1-2 days a week.
