Tatum has been engaged by a publicly traded company that has an urgent need for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to assist with the end-to-end accounting and financial operations related to Revenue Recognition (ASC 606). This role reports to the Director of SEC Reporting/Technical Accounting and is responsible for analysis of technical accounting matters, assisting in the preparation of external financial statements, compliance reporting, and other ad-hoc projects.

Duties:
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting, as well as preparation of financial statements in compliance with SEC and U.S. GAAP regulations
- Perform technical accounting and compliance research in areas such as business combinations, revenue recognition, leases, impairment, debt, equity accounting and equity-based compensation; thoroughly research and document accounting principles and procedural recommendations while assisting in resolving accounting and reporting issues.
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial statement disclosures by working with others in the accounting and finance group as needed
- Assist with contract review and approval to maintain ASC606 compliance
- Reconcile deferred revenue to validate year over year balance changes
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation files and identify and resolve exposures
qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting
- 7+ years of experience of Technical Accounting, previous Audit Background preferred
- Strong oral and written skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization
