Manager/Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting

Currently seeking a Manager/Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to join our expanding Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Revenue this role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of global revenue accounting by providing leadership, accounting expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls. The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including: Business Operations, IT and Professional Services in the coordination, accounting, billing and review of sales.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly revenue close process by running rev/ recognition schedules in NetSuite, booking journal entries for manual adjustments, tracking and analyzing the progress of professional service projects, monitoring acceptance, hold or release revenue due to various reasons
  • Ensure the company's revenue is recognized accurately and on a timely manner by effective review processes
  • Execute the revenue recognition policies and procedures and ensure revenue recognized in conformity with U.S. GAAP, pertinent authoritative literature (under both ASC 605 and ASC 606) and the Company's policies
  • Oversee and perform revenue flux analysis to identify potential errors from upstream (billing) and address revenue risks
  • Continuously improve the revenue close cycle
  • Reconcile and manage deferred revenue schedules and other revenue related month end reconciliations
  • Manage post signature contract reviews, prepare and review the revenue checklist to ensure that significant terms and conditions are accounted for properly
  • Maintain SSP for the company's products and services
  • Assist the Director of Revenue to design and document internal controls, processes, policies and procedures
  • Work with Director of Revenue and external auditors to support the annual audit requirements
  • Participate the Company's ASC 606 adoption project, system implementation project, and any ad hoc projects
  • Improve documentation

Must haves:

  • 3-5 years of direct industry experience in operational revenue accounting with software or SaaS Company including monthly close responsibility.
  • Proficient revenue knowledge in ASC 605 and 606
  • Public accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
