responsibilities:

Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting

The Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting will be responsible for preparing quarterly and annual filings. Responsibilities will include preparing the financial statement disclosures tables, assist in interpreting and applying new disclosure requirements, and updating Notes to the financials and MD&A. The role will be responsible for all aspects of books, including posting entries to the G/L, completing reconciliations, preparing the tax exposure analysis and preparation of financial statements for the annual audit. The role will support the Adviser Funds with respect to the loan administration process, leverage facility compliance, and assist in preparation of portfolio performance analytics.

Responsibilities

Preparation of quarterly financial table disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K using Active Disclosure (SEC filing tool). This role requires co-ordination with valuation, legal, investor relations, and core accounting departments.

Assist with tracking SEC and FASB disclosure requirements, drafting disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K for changes, and updating narrative disclosures.

Ensure audit request supports related to the external reporting process are collected, organized and stored timely for compliance with SOX.

Perform tie-outs of the earnings release, investor relation deck, CEO / CFO script.

Perform general ledger accounting close in MS Dynamics 365 (D365), prepare account reconciliations, ensure correct accounting of intercompany transactions, and consolidation of entities for the Registered Investment Adviser.

Assist with the loan administration process on a monthly basis by reviewing ACH draws prepared by the fund administrators.

Monitor cash receipts and instruct allocation to the leverage facility trustee.

Prepare weekly liquidity reporting summary for each fund.

Assist with review of leverage facility compliance, including initial review of borrowing base calculations and managing the fund administrator to ensure supporting reports are received timely.

Prepare monthly portfolio yield analysis by investment and portfolio income analytics as part of monthly reporting review and internal reporting to senior management.

 
qualifications:

Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. degree required. CPA preferred.

Three to six years experience in accounting or finance positions.

Strong understanding of US GAAP/ Familiarity with public reporting or private.

Professional or significant personal experience using Microsoft Excel to consolidate and analyze data.

Ability to manage fast paced work environment with multiple projects and hard deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work quality, attention to detail, and accountability to deliverables.
