job summary:

Late stage, pre-IPO electronic manufacturer with cutting edge technology is looking for a Senior SEC Reporting Manager. You will lead and own SEC reporting, technical accounting, equity administration and other key financial reporting items. This person will be a key member in the accounting department to implement new processes as a newly public company within the financial reporting function.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing SEC filings, including Form 10-K's, 10-Q's, 8-K's, S-8's, as well as other required filings (proxy statement, S-3's)
  • Preparing support for all filings and coordinating with external auditors
  • Lead accounting/disclosure guidance adoptions
  • Update XBRL for financial statements to the appropriate US GAAP taxonomy
  • Research accounting transactions, prepare accounting position papers and prepare supporting schedules for implementing new accounting guidance
  • Manage administration of stock award activity
  • Prepare stock-based compensation financial reporting
  • Prepare journal entries for various items as they relate to stock-based compensation, guidance implementation and other various areas
  • Implement and maintain disclosure controls
  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed to support the accounting department

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required with a minimum of 5 plus years of public accounting experience with SEC clients or 5 years of experience in a financial reporting role for a publicly traded company
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and ability to independently research
  • Strong understanding of SOX/internal controls
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to meet monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines
  • Active Disclosure experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced team environment
