job summary:

Tatum is recruiting for a Senior Tax Analyst to assist a growing worldwide Transportation Investment Management company that is based in San Francisco, CA. The Senior Tax Analyst would be responsible for corporate tax reporting, audit assistance, preparation of returns, and compliance functions.

This role can be either contract or contract-to-hire and would be a hybrid working model based in San Francisco, CA.

responsibilities:
  • Responsible for quarterly and year-end provision calculations, tax footnotes and related disclosures
  • Responsible for corporate federal and multi-state income tax returns
  • Oversee the compliance and filing of applicable sales & use and VAT
  • Responsible for handling tax audits and coordinating with various tax authorities
  • Work closely with various business units, and management to obtain required tax information
  • Perform research and work on special projects
  • Monitor current and proposed federal, state and local and international tax developments to determine impact on the company
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related; Master's Degree and/or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience; international tax experience a plus
  • Great communication skills needed, both written and verbal to convey complex matters with clarity to non-experts across the company
