Our client, a large "turn-key provider of infrastructure services and renewable energy services" contractor located in The Philadelphia suburbs. They are looking to add a Senior Technical Accountant to their corporate accounting group.

The Senior Technical Accountant - Technical Accounting is responsible for supporting the businesses on accounting inquiries, reaching conclusions on complex accounting issues and transactions as well as development and updating of corporate accounting policies and procedures relating to a wide variety of accounting issues.

  • Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee potential accounting issues and recommend practical solutions associated with contemplated business transactions
  • Monitor business activities, ensure timely identification of accounting and financial reporting matters and prepare high quality accounting memorandums for senior management and auditors
  • Preparation and/or review of specific footnotes in the 10Q and 10K filings as well as work-papers that document the accuracy of reporting in the filings.
  • Monitor and evaluate updates to US GAAP, including FASB ASUs/Exposure drafts, SEC/PCAOB regulations and other guidance.
  • Prepare financial statement preparation, disclosures, reporting, and assisting with closing the books
  • Continually evaluate system processes across the organization and lead projects to streamline and improve internal and external reporting
  • Participate in special projects as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of exceptional ability
  • CPA required, Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP as well as ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
