Storage Engineer

Our client is a leader in technology solutions and has need of strong Storage Engineers for their Raleigh NC location.

If you're as excited about hyperscale development as they are this could be a great match.

We need a storage engineer with knowledge of storage including device, node, rack, and cluster architecture with design and development experience to work as part of their hardware and software design and validation team.

Ideally you will leverage your considerable technical skills, imagination and creativity with a results-oriented attitude to develop innovative products that will be the foundation for both leading and bleeding edge solutions.

responsibilities:

KPI's include:

- Integrate and deliver storage HW product

- Design and review the function and stress test solution

- Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell or Python

- Troubleshoot storage HW and SW issues

- Lead, mentor and work within a collaborative team

 
qualifications:

Requirements:

- 7+ years in storage server design

- In depth knowledge of storage server architecture including node, rack, cluster

- In depth knowledge of storage protocols like PCIe, NVMe or SAS protocol

- Basic programming skills with script or other languages

- Experience working with customer facing situations

Preferred other stuff:

- BSEE or BSCE degree

- Hyperscale/Cloud experience a plus

- Windows OS experience

- Understanding Hyperscale data center environment and big data center infrastructure is a plus

- Understanding of firmware or management software is a plus

- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Compensation, etc.:

- Base in $150-$160K+ range

- Bonus potential

- Benefits, bonus and relo
