Job Description

Our Kirkland, WA based client is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their well-established Tax & Accounting Firm. Serving clients throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond, their firm is an award winning, full-service, - working with both individuals and businesses.

responsibilities:

How you'll contribute:

  • Perform accounting in all areas related to tax reporting, tax accounting, and develop and maintain tax practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely delivery of tax returns and other tax related services.
  • Preparation and review of written responses to IRS and state agency inquiries and tax notices.
  • Participate in tax audits.
  • Familiarity with individual, Partnership, S&C, Trust & Estate tax preparation is preferred but not required
  • Meet with new clients and develop tax strategies that address their goals
 
qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Tax/Accounting
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or EA Preferred
  • Experience preparing individual and business tax returns
  • Advanced level of skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate with - clients, staff and management.
  • High attention to detail with outstanding organization and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Professional demeanor
