job summary:

Tatum is currently searching for a Tax Director that will oversee a Tax Department of a company with revenues over a Billion. The company has operations in over 40 US States and internationally. The Tax Director will oversee a team of 7, which includes a Tax Manager and Tax Accountants.

  • Directs & oversees all U.S. and International tax compliance obligations.
  • Evaluates the financial reporting impact of new tax accounting standards and significant transactions.
  • Collaborates with the IRS and state taxing authorities on the resolution of audits
  • Ensures the maintenance of existing and/or implementation of new tax compliance and provision software
  • Develop, coordinate, and lead all US and international tax planning strategies, including the impact of constantly changing global tax legislation and regulations
  • Research international tax issues by jurisdiction and document findings
  • Provide guidance to senior management whenever appropriate to reduce international tax liabilities
  • Ensure that the Tax Department Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Tax Manager or Director.
  • Experience with international indirect tax is a plus
  • Organized and strong attention to details is required
