  • Prepares, reviews and files various federal, state and local returns
  • Prepares and reviews estimated tax calculations
  • Prepares and reviews tax provisions on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Prepare and review provision to tax return reconciliation and to reconcile taxes payable and deferred tax accounts
  • Compute Fin 48 reserves and preparation of supporting memoranda
  • Maintains current knowledge of tax laws, updates, and revisions and informs management of issues affecting Fanatics.
  • Assist with the implementation of various tax planning projects
  • Assist with due diligence, structuring and post-acquisition integration of various acquisitions
  • Liaises with new acquisition team members regarding proposed transactions regarding analyzing the tax implications of proposed business plans.
  • Respond to tax notices and other correspondences with tax authorities.
  • Reconciles any year-end balances and recover any tax overpayments.
  • Supports and assists with Federal and state tax audits.
  • Performs special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. CPA preferred. Due to continual changes in tax regulations, continuing education is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a MUST
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local income
  • Knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state and local reporting requirements.
  • Experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
