job summary:

Tatum by Randstad is partnering with a global leader in manufacturing storage solutions. The company covers everything from doors & hallways, to installation, automation, and facility restoration. They are seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to help lead the team at their Douglasville, GA office.

This person should also have a deep understanding of SOX compliance, and how the implement the technical accounting topics in a best practice's method.

responsibilities:
  • Ability to research technical accounting matters and provide relevant guidance to team.
  • Perform research and document guidance on: Segment Reporting, Revenue Recognition, Lease Accounting, Stock Compensation, EPS calculations, Hedge Accounting, embedded derivatives, etc.
  • Work closely with Global Accounting teams to apply the relevant guidance for proper accounting treatment.
  • Work closely with SEC Reporting Manager to ensure the applicable topics are properly disclosed within the SEC financial filings.
  • Perform Purchase Accounting on Business Combinations and assist in FDD process of potential Targets.
  • Analyze business processes and propose process improvements.
  • Work closely with CAO on materials with A/C, BOD, etc.
  • Work closely with operations team to build a collaborative partnership outside accounting.
  • Develop and implement a disciplined Governance Framework, including SOX controls.
  • Partner with peers across functions in developing integrated plans on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Work with the local Business Unit Accounting/Finance community to determine process requirements and identify areas of improvement with the current tool set.
  • Provide day to day production support for global finance users and processes.
  • Driving improvement in business intelligence and analytics within Finance/Accounting.
 
qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years or relevant work experience.
  • Ideal candidate would have a background of a public accounting a private industry mix in manufacturing.
  • Project Management skills and leadership abilities required.
