job summary:

The Financial Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams. They Manage the production of client reporting in a timely, accurate and high quality deliverables meeting guidelines.

Must focus on excellent customer service both directly and through subordinate employees.

A key ability is to synthesize complex information into actionable product with/for company management.

Responsible for training and mentoring the performance of team members.

Duties have a significant financial impact clients into hundreds of millions of dollars.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Managing and directing the daily activities of a project teams
  2. Responsible for employee selection, development and performance
  3. Responsible for staff work planning and management and completion of projects and other ad-hoc work
  4. As needed uses creativity to resolve work-related problems and challenges of team
  5. Monitors team compliance in utilizing Project Manager+ (PM+) daily to track deal information, comparable deals, deal status, and hours worked per deal
  6. Develops and expands relationships with key clients through attending marketing events and other meetings
  7. Manage the completion of an average of three projects per month, 8 - 10 at any one time
  8. Performs management interviews and site visits and directs and managers field consultants. Travel could represent an average of 25-30% per month.
  9. Ensures internal communication with the project team is effective keeping all members up to date including direct manager, and other HQ staff
  10. Manage the analysis of data through the preparation of financial exhibits adhering to guidelines
  11. Develops strategy and initial overview

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  1. Strong financial analytic abilities
  2. Advanced knowledge of Income Statements, Balance Sheets and relevant accounting terms
  3. Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  4. Minimum eight years work-related experience or demonstrated ability to perform advisory management duties at a high level
  5. Detail-oriented, able to effectively manage time, strong planning skills, and excellent analytical skills
  6. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and ability to handle diverse issues involving all levels of management.
  7. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel operations
