Chuck Bridges is an engagement partner in Tatum’s Northern California practice with 30 years of experience in manufacturing, food processing, clean technology, energy distribution, software and semiconductors. An accomplished Fortune 50-trained senior operating executive, he has extensive experience in finance, operations and corporate transitions, such as mergers and acquisitions, leadership changes and turnarounds to middle-market clients. During his career, Chuck has raised over $1 billion in debt and equity financing.

Previously, Chuck served as chief operating officer, responsible for the daily operations of a $125 million steel foundry. In this role, he increased revenue by 151 percent and labor productivity by 60 percent over 24 months. Earlier in his career, Chuck was an executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of a $250 million petroleum distributor. He drove a pricing strategy that produced record profits and led to a successful exit for the family owners.

Tatum professional highlights include:

  • Interim CFO for a $90 million subsidiary of a private equity-owned food processor. Identified a production bottleneck, analyzed and recommended product mix alternatives, and gained approval for a plan adding $2.2 million to the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization.
  • Led private equity firm’s onsite acquisition due diligence on a specialty services company target, including creation of historical accrual basis financial statements, a quality of earnings analysis and SKU rationalization evaluation. Pitched acquisition to potential lenders and developed a 180-day plan for revamping the company’s financial, IT and administrative functions.
  • Interim CFO for a $100 million producer of specialty clothing acquired by a private equity firm. Produced initial bank and internal consolidated reporting packages of the acquired companies and completed the audits of prior fiscal year and acquisition “stub period” by two accounting firms.
  • Interim CFO for a renewable fuels startup completing its first refinery. Created the financial, IT and administrative infrastructure. Completed the acquisition financing for a second plant location, negotiated insurance and employee benefits programs and selected and implemented an enterprise resource planning system.
